Smith Handy Projects organizes curatorial projects and advises private clients on the procurement of contemporary art. We specialize in emerging and mid-career artists and work with new and seasoned collectors, institutions, corporations, and municipalities.

Our curatorial initiatives aim to further both the market relevance and critical significance of artists. We advise, educate, and facilitate a deeper understanding of contemporary art between our clients and the quickly evolving art world via comprehensive immersion and using key insights to navigate the market and analyze trends.

Our collector advisory services include developing a collecting vision, identifying opportunities for acquisition and providing strategic guidance, presenting opportunities with both an art historical and market analysis, coordinating gallery viewings and artist studio visits, negotiating payment terms, facilitating insurance coverage, as well as overseeing framing, shipping, and installation.

Prior to founding Smith Handy Projects, Jill Smith Handy worked at David Zwirner Gallery and Kim Heirston Art Advisory, and has consulted on various contemporary art and cultural initiatives.
